One Afternoon on the Campus of BYU

February 22nd is my spouse’s birthday. This year she wanted a celebration dinner at La Dolce Vita Ristorante Italiano in Provo. We decided to stroll around the nearby Brigham Young University before eating. Because college campuses are professionally landscaped, I took my little camera1 along. It was suited for grabbing a few shots while not unduly interfering with our celebration.

Provo Peak Foothill

BYU is pressed up against the steep western foothills of the Wasatch Mountains. Although Provo Peak towers above, this foothill hides it. The roofline of the student housing main building frames the layered rocks and snow.

Looking Southeast from the BYU Campus

The late afternoon sun backlights the trailing edge of a recently departed snow storm.

Water and Rocks #1

This and the remaining pictures are of a pond between sidewalks near the Museum of Fine Arts. I invite you to contemplate them as visual variations on a theme.
